| Our Natural Alabaster Collection is an inspiration of European transitional designs from the Art Noveau period in the early 20th century. The rich finish with a hand rubbed lacquer, highlights the beautifully detailed solid cast brass elements found in early Roman Architecture. Our Natural Alabaster stone originates from historical family quarries in Northern Spain. We have worked with quarry owners for many years, creating new designs as well as reproducing many of the classical reproductions found in this catalogue. Alabaster is a translucent natural stone of the earth that has been used since antiquity to create ornaments, sculptures and lighting. When alabaster is illuminated it produces a soft pleasant warm light, perfect for dining, reading and general lighting. Each piece of alabaster has a unique graining that is hand carved by master craftsman to create an original masterpiece. The combination of hand carved natural alabaster with the solid brass ornamentation forms a superb blend of classical Architecture. |
